About

R. Saranya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), Thiruvarur, since 2016. She holds B.E. and M.E. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai (First Class with Distinction), and a Ph.D. in Requirement Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University (2015). With over more than 14 years of academic and research experience, her expertise includes Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Social Media Analytics, Distributed Systems, and Clinical NLP. She is a recipient of the TNSCST Young Scientist Fellowship and is currently engaged in LLM-based clinical text generation research at IIT Delhi. Dr. Saranya has organized international workshops such as DravidianLangTech (EACL 2024, NAACL 2025) and has led the development of multilingual and multimodal datasets for low-resource Indian languages.
