About
Dr. Debasmita is an Assistant Professor, jointly affilated to the Department of Physics & Materials Engineering at IIT Jodhpur and leads the Battery Materials Innovation Lab (BMIL). Curiosity, passion-driven, and natural problem-solving are some of her personality traits.
Currently, she is involved in the design and development of novel electrode materials for high energy density alkali-ion (Lithium/sodium) batteries .
Previously, she has worked as post-doctoral fellow from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). Her work focussed extensively on synthesis-structure-property correlation in novel cathode materials, earning her a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Through her professional training, she specialize in various inorganic syntheses, advanced structural and electrochemical characterization, and fundamental analysis of different physicochemical processes involved.
