About
Dr. G. R. Sinha is the Vice Chancellor of GSFC University, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. He previously served as Professor at IIIT Bangalore and was on deputation as Professor at Myanmar Institute of Information Technology (MIIT), Mandalay, under the India–Myanmar friendship project. He has also been Visiting Professor at universities in Italy, Taiwan, and Sri Lanka.
He has authored 330+ research publications and 27 edited books with leading publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, IOP, Taylor & Francis, and IGI, and holds three international patents (Australia and Germany). He serves as Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member of several SCI/Scopus-indexed journals.
Dr. Sinha has been ranked among the top 2% scientists worldwide in Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence (Stanford–Elsevier, 2023–2025). His major recognitions include Vice Chancellor of the Year 2025, ACM Senior Member Award, IEEE Mentor Award, and Distinguished Alumnus Award (NIT Raipur).
With 27 years of teaching and research experience, he has delivered 75+ keynote and invited talks internationally and supervised 10 PhDs and numerous postgraduate and undergraduate students. His research interests include Biomedical Image Processing, Biometrics, Cognitive Science, AI, Outcome-Based Education, NEP 2020, IKS, and employability-oriented ICT tools.
