About
K. Sujatha is presently working as Professor in EEE, Department at Dr. M.G.R Educational and Research Institute, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and completed her post doctorate in the field of Computer Science Engineering from Lincoln University College, Malaysia in the year 2026. She has 27 years of teaching experience in various Engineering colleges. She completed her BE in the year 1999 from Bharathiyar University, ME in 2004 and Ph. D (Faculty of Information & Communication) in 2011 from Anna University. Her scopus H-index in 10 and also has i10 index. She has presented/published papers in National/International conferences/journals and also published many books with Elsevier and Springer publisher. She is also a reviewer for journals published by Springer and Elsevier publishers. Presently doing her research in the area of Image Processing for Process Control. She is awarded the Best Researcher award for the academic year 2011–2012 and 2014 by IET. Also obtained travel grant from DST in 2014 for attending the conference. She is also awarded the young researcher award at the international conference at China in year 2015. She has also published 7 patents including one international patent with the Chinese University at Huaiyin Institute of Technology, China and also initiated international cooperation research between Huaiyin Institute of Technology, China and Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. She has one Indian and one Australian patent with granted status. In the year 2021, 2023, 2025 AICTE, SERB and IIT Tihan has funded a sum of Rs. 8.31 lakhs for organizing STTP and training programs for the faculty and students.
