About
Dr. Manas Mahato obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry at University of North Bengal, West Bengal, India. He holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India. His research focuses on developing innovative chromo-fluorogenic chemosensors for monitoring environmental pollutants, with a particular emphasis on heavy metal detection in water systems as well as toxic element from environment. Manas has authored 59 articles, 2 book chapters, one review article and presented his findings at national conferences, earning his the ‘Best Oral Presentation’ award in 2024. Beyond his research, Manas is passionate about promoting sustainable practices and aims to contribute to environmental policy development. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and exploring nature, which inspires his work in environmental science.
