I am Indian geophysicist and Professor in the Department of Geophysics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University. My research focuses on exploration geophysics, marine geophysics, gas hydrates, seismic methods, petroleum geoscience, Seismic microzonation, and site characterization study.
Early Life and Education
• Date of Birth: 22 July 1976
• B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics: Banaras Hindu University (1996)
• M.Sc. (Tech.) in Exploration Geophysics: Banaras Hindu University (1999)
• Ph.D.: Osmania University, Hyderabad (2006)
o Thesis: Assessment of Gas Hydrates Resources in the Kerala-Konkan Basin – Western India.
Academic Career
I joined the Department of Geophysics at BHU in February 2016 served in teaching and research roles. I am teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in geophysics and supervises research scholars in exploration, marine geophysics, seismic microzonation, and site characterization study. Also associated with professional student chapters in geophysics as a faculty advisor.
I served as Scientist and Senior scientist at CSIR-NGRI Hyderabad from January 20002 to February 2016.
International Research Experience
• Visiting Scientist, Oregon State University (2013–2014) under the Indo–US Fellowship.
• Visiting Scientist, Geological Survey of Canada and University of Victoria (2009–2010) under the BOYSCAST Fellowship.

I had authored numerous research papers in national and international journals on gas hydrates, seismic imaging, geophysical exploration, subsurface characterization, seismic microzonation, and site characterization. His work has contributed significantly to understanding India's offshore gas hydrate resources and seismic investigations.
