After teaching several Graduate and Post-graduate courses for more than six years, he switched over to Agriculture Research Station (now Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute), Durgapura, Jaipur to work as a full time researcher. During 2005, he joined as senior scientist at the Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur. After working for more than nine years at IIPR, Kanpur, he got transferred, and now currently works at the ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna. During his research career of about 23 years, he developed varieties, identified unique trait specific donors and generated first hand useful basic and applied genetic information that got published in the various national and international journals.
