About
Dr. Pooja Singh is a Plant Research Specialist with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology and over eight years of experience in plant–microbe interactions and sustainable crop improvement. Her work integrates molecular biology, microbiology, and biochemistry to understand how bacterial and fungal communities influence plant resilience under environmental stress. She has led and contributed to projects on microplastic and polymer degradation in agricultural systems, securing multiple national and international research grants. Dr. Singh has held research fellowships at Monash University and the University of Malaya, where she conducted pioneering studies on microplastic-degrading rhizobacteria and stress-tolerant banana plants. Her publication record includes 27 research papers and three book chapters, supported by technical expertise in bioinformatics, advanced microscopy, and high-throughput analysis. She is committed to developing microbiome-driven approaches for sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture.
