About
As the Dean, School of Computer Science at UPES, I oversee the academic and administrative affairs of the school. With over 25 years of experience in teaching and research, I am passionate about fostering interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary learning and innovation among students and faculty. My mission is to provide a student-centric education that prepares engineers for the fast-changing and complex world.
I hold a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a M.S. and B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, respectively. My field of expertise is nonlinear dynamical systems and control, with applications to biomedical and financial systems. I have coauthored five books and over 200 journals and conference papers on this topic, and received awards from US NSF and TCS for my research excellence. I also have experience in leading and collaborating with industry and academic partners, both nationally and internationally, to advance engineering education and research.
