About

I am an Associate Professor and researcher in Biotechnology with over 14 years of experience spanning biomedical research, higher education, and industrial research and development. My expertise lies in mammalian cell culture, molecular and cellular biology, DNA damage response and repair, cancer pharmacology, nanomedicine, and translational biomedical sciences.

I earned my Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of South Carolina, USA. My doctoral research investigated the molecular crosstalk between homologous recombination and mismatch repair pathways in response to DNA-damaging chemotherapeutic agents. As part of this work, I generated and characterized mouse embryonic fibroblast (MEF) cell lines from genetically engineered knockout mouse models and employed a range of cell and molecular biology techniques to investigate mechanisms of genomic stability and chemotherapeutic response.

My research interests include molecular oncology, cancer therapeutics, vascular remodeling, angiogenesis, gut microbiome research, precision medicine, drug delivery systems, and the application of bioinformatics and computational approaches to biomedical research. I am particularly interested in integrating experimental biology with data-driven methodologies to advance translational research and personalized healthcare.

My research experience includes establishing and maintaining mammalian cell culture systems, designing and performing cell-based functional assays, evaluating therapeutic responses in in vitro models, and applying molecular biology techniques to investigate disease mechanisms. I have also contributed to interdisciplinary projects involving nanotechnology, bioinformatics, and microbiome research.

I have authored peer-reviewed research articles, review papers, book chapters, and conference publications in cancer biology, molecular medicine, and nanotechnology. I have secured competitive extramural research funding as both Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator and serve as a reviewer and guest editor for several international scientific journals. I enjoy mentoring students and collaborating across disciplines to address complex biomedical questions, and I welcome opportunities for research collaboration and doctoral supervision in molecular oncology, translational medicine, and related fields.
