About

I am a dedicated researcher specializing in molecular genetics, functional genomics, and host-delivered RNAi for crop improvement, focusing on plant-parasitic nematodes. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at ARO – Volcani Institute, Israel, I am investigating the effects of climate change on nematode distribution and life cycles, aiming to identify and characterize novel nematode resistance genes using omics approaches. Previously, at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, I developed pest and disease-tolerant cotton plants through micro-RNA-induced gene silencing and pioneered genomic-based nematode management strategies in plants such as rice, eggplant, and tomato. I am committed to using advanced molecular techniques for sustainable crop production.
