About

I am currently a faculty member in the School of Computer Sciences at NISER Bhubaneswar.

I completed my M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the School of Technology and Computer Science at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai under the guidance of Ramprasad Saptharishi. I was supported by a Google Fellowship in my final year.

I then held post-doctoral positions at the Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (as a post-doctoral researcher hosted by Pavel Hrubesͮ), the Blavatnik School of Computer Science in Tel Aviv University (as a postdoctoral student hosted by Amir Shpilka) and the School of Computer Sciences at NISER Bhubaneswar (as a visiting faculty member). This was followed by a short but very productive stint as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at IIT Madras.

My second year of postdoctoral research was supported by the Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship; during which I spent some time visiting TIFR Mumbai, ICTS-TIFR Bengaluru, IISc Bengaluru and IIIT Hyderabad (while being affiliated to Tel Aviv University).

In the distant past, I did B.Sc. (Hons. in Mathematics with Computer Science & Physics) from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata; and then M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing from IIT Guwahati. My schooling was from La Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata.

My research interest lies in the field of Theoretical Computer Science. What I love doing the most is understanding the power of various models of computation.
