About

Prof. (Dr.) Vidhi Nagar, an internationally acclaimed Kathak dancer is the first and only person in India to receive D.Litt. in the field of Kathak.
“TOP” graded a promising artiste of Kathak Dance as well as a received rigorous practical training from her Guru’s in Lucknow, (Prof. Purnima pande, Padmashri Puru Dadhich, Dr. Veena Singh ) Dr. Vidhi Nagar has written 8 books and number of research papers, articles, columns, chapters etc. She has organized seminars, symposiums, workshops, Lectures at National and International level successfully besides that she achieved many prestigious awards including “U.P.Sangeet Natak Academy” award (2013),National Awards from Hindi Sansthan, Lucknow & M.P. Hindi Granth Academy, Bhopal. Dr. Nagar has represented as a cultural ambassad in USA, Germany, Mauritius, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nepal etc. Folks admired her performance as well as all reputed Dance Festival like Khajuraho, Allauddin Sangeet Samaroh, Maihar, Delhi Kathak Kendra, Sangeet Natak Academy and many more or in across the world. Her disciple tradition is spreading Kathak Dance all over the world. At present she is working as Professor & Former Head, Department of Dance, Faculty of Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
