About
Dr. S. N. Poojitha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Calicut. Her primary research focuses on the reliable and economical design of water distribution networks (WDNs), an essential civic infrastructure. She formulated computationally efficient metaheuristic optimization techniques, the FIT-KHA, DE-KHA, and chaos-based EA models, considering the NP-hard nature of the WDN design problem. She introduced a penalty-free multi-objective DE-KHA model with a posterior performance model for proposing desirable non-inferior solutions that are robust in the face of hydraulic and mechanical uncertainties.
