About

"Dr. Saroj Kumar Kushvaha is an inorganic chemist whose research interests span molecular magnetism, main-group chemistry, and advanced silicon cluster science. He obtained his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. K. C. Mondal from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where his research focused on molecular magnetism. Driven by a strong interest in fundamental and unconventional bonding chemistry, he later joined the research group of Prof. Herbert W. Roesky at the University of Göttingen, where he worked on molecular silicon chemistry.

He subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (IFW Dresden), further expanding his expertise in inorganic and materials-oriented chemistry. After a short stay at the University of Duisburg-Essen, he moved to Munich. Currently, he is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in the group of Prof. Thomas Fässler at Technical University of Munich, where his research focuses on the synthesis and reactivity of soluble silicon clusters. His work aims to advance the understanding of low-valent silicon compounds and explore their potential in modern materials and fundamental inorganic chemistry."
