About
I am currently based at the UCL Cancer Institute as an ACED Pathway Fellow, supported by a CRUK grant focused on the early detection of oral premalignant lesions and head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCs). I completed my postdoctoral research in Professor Fiona Watt’s lab at King’s College London in January 2025.
My research investigates how acquired mutations alter cellular mechanisms and affect the biology of oral cancers. I am particularly interested in exploring the genomic, phenotypic, and metabolic differences that contribute to tumorigenesis.
Broadly, my areas of expertise include HNSC, oral premalignant lesions, oral histopathology, mitochondrial metabolism, epithelial stem cell biology, immuno-oncology, multi-omic analyses (genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics), and both mouse and cell-based models.
