About
I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at BITS Pilani, Rajasthan. Prior to this, I was a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. There, I worked in collaboration with Prof. Dinshaw S. Balsara. Most of my research focused on the mathematical aspects of astrophysical flows, including (but not limited to) the design of high-order finite difference and finite volume schemes for various hyperbolic conservation laws. Some of my work also addressed hyperbolic systems with non-conservative products. Before that, I was a research scholar in the Department of Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Delhi), India, where I obtained my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in 2022. I worked under the supervision of Prof. Harish Kumar, one of the finest guides and human beings I have met during my research journey. At IIT-Delhi, the principal research work was established on the relativistic flows in the hydrodynamics and two-fluid plasma regimes. My thesis title "Entropy Stable Schemes for Relativistic Flows" explains the same.
