About
Dr. Kapil Kumar received his M.S. (Pharm) and Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Mohali, India. Currently, He is working as an Associate Professor at School of Health Sciences and Technology, UPES, Dehradun, India. His research interests involve the synthesis of novel molecules of pharmacological interest against cancer, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and infectious diseases. His synthetic expertise is focused on heterocyclic synthesis, methodology development, asymmetric synthesis, green chemistry, total synthesis, computer-aided drug design, nanoparticle-based synthesis etc. His research has resulted in the international publication of over 29 peer-reviewed articles of high repute indexed in Scopus, the web of science, and PubMed. Three books and one book chapter is also in his credit. He is also serving as an associate editorial board member of the journal Medicinal Chemistry (MC), Bentham publisher, and current computer-aided drug design (CCADD), Bentham publisher. He is in the reviewer panel of many journals like European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry (Elsevier), Bioorganic Chemistry (Elsevier), European Journal of Organic Chemistry (Wiley), Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry (Wiley), Medicinal Chemistry Research (Springer), Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compound (Springer), Current Computer-aided Drug Design (Bentham), Current Drug Discovery and Technology (Bentham), Current Bioactive Compound (Bentham), Polynuclear Aromatic Compound (Taylor and Francis) and Frontier in Clinical Drug Research-Anti Allergy Agents (Bentham eBook series). Various awards and accolades were also received from reputed organizations.
