Dr J P Patra is working as an Associate Professor at UTD, Computer Science & Engineering Department, Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai, India. He holds more than 18 years of experience in research, and teaching and his research area is Artificial Intelligence. He was acclaimed for being the author of the books Cognitive IoT: Emerging Technology towards Human Wellbeing (ISBN-9781032315560), Taylor and Francis, 2022, Analysis and Design of Algorithms (ISBN-978-93-80674-53-7) and Performance Improvement of a Dynamic System Using Soft Computing Approaches (ISBN: 978-3-659-82968-0) along with more than 51 papers published in SCIE, SCOPUS, Web of Science and UGCCARE Listed Journals. He has also edited different books for NOVA SCIENCE Publication, USA and CRC Press publication houses. He has published and granted Indian/German/Australian patents. He has contributed to book chapters, published by Elsevier, Springer and IGI Global. He is Associated with AICTE-IDEA LAB, IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur as a Coordinator. He is on the editorial board and Reviewer Board of four leading international journals. In addition, he is on the Technical Committee Board for several International Conferences. He has a Life Membership of Professional bodies like CSI, ISTE, and QCFI, also he has served the post of Chairman of the Raipur Chapter of the Computer Society of India which is India's Largest Professional Body for Computer Professionals. He has served in various positions in different Engineering colleges as Associate Professor and Head.
