Prof.(Dr.) P. K. Parhi, FRSC, has been actively associated in research since 2004. In due course of his research practices, he has significantly expanded his research in diverse fields manly in the area of applied Chemistry. His major research expertise and interest accomplishes: (i) Integrated hydrometallurgy(Leaching, Solvent Extraction, Supported Liquid membrane separation Adsorption, Ion Exchange & precipitation) of heavy-, rare- and rare earth-metals from numerous primary and secondary source(s) (ii) Industrial Waste(Spent Catalysts, Waste magnet, e-waste, Battery waste, Scrap alloys, Fly ash & Red mud) Recycling (iii) Bio-hydrometallurgy (iv)Bio-reduction and bio-sorption,(v) Effluent treatment (removal of: waste dye(s)/ toxic heavy metal(s)), (vi) Making of Biochar and their potential application on environmental remediation investigation,(vii) Synthesis and application of various metal oxide nano-particles, & (viii) Analytical sciences
