About

I have a Master’s degree in Library Information Study from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences, Community Health Education from San Jose State University. I have been a Research Librarian with the University of California, Irvine Libraries for over 30 years.

During my tenure at UC Irvine Libraries, I designed and implemented various workshops and seminars to enhance UCI faculty, residents, students, and staff life long learning skills. I co-presented various accredited CME workshops locally and nationally with medical educators. My research interests include health information literacy, culture competency, health disparities, evidence-based medicine, and information retrievals. I have authored and co-authored numerous of research papers in some of these areas (http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=CN5skVcAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao).

Outside of my job, I enjoy enjoys reading, cycling and practicing yoga weekly.
