Dr.Uppu Venkata subbarao

About

Dr. Uppu Venkata Subbarao is a Professor of Statistics at N.S. Raju Institute of Technology, Visakhapatnam, India. He obtained his M.Sc. in Statistics and Ph.D. from Andhra University in 2013. His doctoral research, titled “Additive Uniform Exponential Distribution with Applications to Manpower Modeling,” was carried out under the supervision of Prof. K. Srinivasa Rao.

He has 30 years of teaching experience, beginning his career as a Junior Lecturer in Mathematics teaching Calculus and Trigonometry. He later served as Lecturer in Statistics and subsequently as Principal at Chaitanya Degree and PG College for Women. He also has 10 years of international academic experience, having worked at Mekelle University, Adigrat University, Ethiopia, and the College of Science, Eritrea.

His research interests include probability distributions, statistical modeling, manpower modeling, and time series analysis. He has published 15 research articles in national and international journals and has guided more than 50 research projects in Statistics. He is a life member of the Indian Society for Probability and Statistics (ISPS).
