Dr. D. R. Patil has completed his Ph. D. Degree in Physics at KBC North Maharashtra University Jalgaon in 2007. He has completed his M.Sc. Degree in Physics from Savitri Bai Phule Pune University Pune in 1989. He is currently working as a research guide in Physics at Rani Laxmibai Mahavidyalaya Parola Dist. Jalgaon. He established and recognized the research laboratory entitled Bulk and Nanomaterials Research Laboratory at Dept. of Physics at his institution. Six students are working under his guidance for their Ph. D. Degree. Two Ph. D. Students are awarded and two Theses are submitted to the University for awarding Ph. D. Ten M. Phil. Students are guided by him, successfully.
Dr. D. R. Patil has attended, delivered scientific talks and worked as resource person at various International, National and State level events. He achieved few distinct International and National awards, honors and recognitions. He is working as a TPC member at Italy for Allsensors 2016 and continued up to Allsensors 2019 event and at few national events. He worked as a guest editor for the journal of sensors and transducers by IFSA Spain. He is currently working as a reviewer and an Author for the most reputed journals of Elsevier Science Publications, American Chemical Society, IEEE, etc. He is the editorial board member of few research journals. He is the full member of American Nano Society USA, Academic Council of Science Editors Dubai, Indian Science Congress Association Kolkata, Crystal Research Society Chennai, Society for Materials Chemistry BARC Mumbai, etc. His topics of interests are Nanomaterials, nanoparticles, CNTs, Gas sensors, Thin film and thick film Physics, Ferrites, Food freshness detection, Solar cells, Photo cells, Photo Sensors, Disease diagnosis, etc.
He provided the facilities of measuring the electrical performance and the gas sensing performance of the materials at his laboratory with training to the researchers from many reputed Universities and Institutions in India, at totally free of cost.
He is working as a coordinator of NAAC and IQAC at his institution and has successfully completed the reaccreditation process of the institution. He is working as a Nodal Officer for All India Survey on Higher Education AISHE.
Apart from these academic and research activities, he is working as a member of Loknyayalaya at Parola. He implemented the National Leprosy Elimination programme at Parola in collaboration with Cottage Hospital Parola.
