Dr. P. Bhasha, M.Tech., Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Dean – Freshman at Sri Venkatesa Perumal College of Engineering and Technology (SVPCET), Puttur, Andhra Pradesh, India. He has over 18 years of teaching, research, and academic administration experience in engineering education.
His research interests include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, Embedded Systems, Smart Healthcare, and Assistive Technologies for Persons with Disabilities. His doctoral research focused on developing an AIoT-enabled hybrid walking assistant system for visually impaired individuals by integrating computer vision, intelligent sensors, wearable devices, and IoT technologies to enhance safe and independent navigation.
Dr. Bhasha has published numerous research papers in reputed international journals and conferences, authored book chapters, and holds multiple patents in the fields of artificial intelligence, IoT, and assistive technologies. He actively contributes as a reviewer, session chair, conference organizer, and resource person for faculty development programs, workshops, and innovation bootcamps.
His current research focuses on AI-driven assistive systems, intelligent robotics, edge AI, computer vision applications, smart healthcare solutions, and technology-enabled innovation. He is committed to promoting interdisciplinary research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry–academia collaboration while mentoring students and young researchers in emerging technologies.
