A/Professor & Head of Pathology at James Cook University, School of Medicine & Dentistry, Australia. Shashidhar is also adjunct Professor of Pathology and Medical Education at Manipal University India. Dr. Shashi has been teaching pathology since 1985 in several countries and has developed several innovative tools in medical education & teaching of Pathology. Digital Microscopy teaching lab at James Cook University, is the innovative (worlds first) digital microscopy lab designed to teach microscopic skills to large group of students with single staff. Currently he is part of multi university consortium developing innovative, adaptive online learning modules for medical students.

Dr. Shashidhar’s work has been acknowledged with several awards including Australian Learning & Teaching Council’s citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning” in 2011.
