About
Dr. Amit Singh, Ph.D. is a Clinical Microbiologist and Molecular biologist recognized in the field of research in infectious diseases. He has more than 25 publication in national and International journals, book chapters and one patent. His One invention includes development of a rapid diagnostic test for tuberculosis and multi drug resistance tuberculosis. His Research is currently focused on understanding the mechanism of drug resistance and development of rapid diagnostics for infectious disease. Dr. Amit did his Master’s degree in Microbiology from the Jiwaji University, Gwalior, India and a PhD in Clinical Microbiology/Molecular Biology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is distinguished as one of the best researchers in the field of proteomics/molecular biologist. Dr. Amit research has high clinical relevance that will lead to the identification of biomarkers for development of rapid diagnostics, vaccines, therapeutics against drug resistant tuberculosis and other diseases. Dr. Amit also serves as peer reviewer and editorial board members for several journals. He won various national and international awards in the field of scientific research. He served as Senior Resident in AIIMS Bhopal (MP), Senior Scientist at AIIMS, New Delhi and currently working as Assistant Professor in Microbiology Department at Central University of Punjab.
