Dr. Dhananjay Vithalrao Mane is presently working as Professor in Chemistry , Post Graduate Department of chemistry & Research Centre, Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji college, Omerga, Dist Osmanabad, Maharashtra and Former Regional Director, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik during 5, Feb. 2018- 4, Feb.2023. He had been Professor in Chemistry , Post Graduate Department of chemistry & Research Centre, Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji college, Omerga, Dist Osmanabad, Maharashtra (India) since 1990. During 2013-2017 He acted as Dy Director, UGC- Human Resource Development Center, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He organized more than 90 programmes and guided to 1600 professors during his tenure. He completed his Graduation and Post graduation from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in during 1985-1990 and Ph. D degree in 1995 under the guidance of Dr. M.S. Shingare, Professor and Head, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. His areas of Research are synthetic organic chemistry, Medicinal chemistry, Heterocyclic chemistry, Physico-Organic chemistry, and Forensic Science . He has organized 08 National & Regional conferences at institute & and University Level. He has participated in more than 90 National and International conferences, seminars, workshops held in the country & abroad. He is Life Member and Fellow Member of Various National and International Professional Bodies. He worked as member of many committees of university and college. During past 34 Years he act as Member and Chairman, Vigilance Squad, Member and Chairman of Affiliation Committee, Member of Senate and Chairman of Standing Committee of the University. He actively involved in student related activities and guided to number of students for their career advancement . Till today under his guidance 17 research scholars Obtained PhD. degree and 08 research scholars are working for their PhD. He has edited 8 books and published so far 15 books. More than 122 Research papers/ articles to his credit at National and International reputed journals. During NSS programmes, He participated in many programmes at state and national level. During 2006 to 2010 He had worked as a NSS Programme Coordinator of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He visited and guided to more than 300 NSS Camps/ programmes during those four years and more than 10,000 students and villagers benefited to work for community development and social work. He has been awarded Best NSS Programme Officer Award by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in the year 2005-2006 and Best NSS University Programme Coordinator Award by Government of Maharashtra for the year 2007-2008. He like to interact with academician , researchers & young students around the world. He was elected as Senate Member and Chairman, Standing Committee of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad for the year 2011-2016.
He visited to many countries viz., Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, SriLanka, Mauritius, Belgium , Netherland , Switzerland, Italy, Vatican City, France and Germany for academic purpose and for Paper presentation.
