Prof. B. Vidya Vardhini is the Registrar of Telangana University. She is a Professor and Head in the Department of Botany, Telangana University. She is the Director, Directorate of Academic Audit from 11th October 2021 Onwards. She is the Dean, College Development Council, Telangana University from February 2020 to February 2022. She is the Former Dean, Faculty of Science and Computer Science from February 2017 to March 2019. She is the Former REGISTRAR of Telangana University. She served as the Director, Directorate of Academic Audit from Dec 2016 to July 2017. She served as the Principal, University College of Science from 2014 -2016. She has 25 years of teaching and research experience. She completed her M.Sc. (Botany) in first division with distinction in the year 1994. She worked as a Project Fellow in the UGC Sponsored MRP from 1995 - 1998. She was awarded Ph. D. (Doctor of Philosophy) in 1998 from Osmania University, Hyderabad under the guidance of Prof. S. Seeta Ram Rao. She worked as a Research Associate in the CSIR sponsored MRP from 1999- 2002. She worked CSIR- Senior Research Associate (Scientist’s Pool Scheme) from 2002-2003 at Osmania university, Hyd. She worked as a Lecturer/Asst Professor in Botany on selection by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in Union Territory of Puducherry, from 2003 to 2008. She served as the Head, Department of Botany, Chairperson, BOS in Botany as well as Biotechnology in Telanagana University and Botany Department of Satavahana University, Karimnagar and Director, Alumni, Director, Research and Development etc. She completed a UGC-MRP in 2007- MRP-655/05 (UGC –SERO) on brassinosteroids and saline soils of Karaikal. She published 81 Research and Review Articles Her total Impact Factor is 41.622, citations are 1638 and h-index and i10-index are 16 and 22. Her Web of Science citations are 536 and H – index is 8. Her Scopus Citations are 665 and H –index is 9. She has presented 69 papers in National and International Seminars /Conferences etc. She attended 21 National and International Seminars /Conferences etc. She served as Lead Guest Editor/ Review Board Member for 11 Journals. She reviewed nearly 149 research articles. She was the Convener/ Coordinator/ Co-Convener for 9 National Seminars/ Popular Lectures Series/ Science Academies’ Lecture Workshops Five (5) Research Scholars are awarded Ph.D. under her supervision. One Research Scholar submitted his thesis. She is guiding 2 Research scholars from Telangana University and 1 from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. She is mentoring 1 UGC – DS - Kothari Post Doctorate Fellow. She was External Viva - Voce Examiner for 13 (Thirteen) Ph.D. research scholars. She adjudicated 62– Sixty- Two theses She was Keynote Speaker/Resource Person/Session Chair for 24 National and International Seminars/Work Shops. She delivered 11 Extension /Guest Lectures in different Colleges of Telangana State.
