About

Prof. Sujogya Kumar Panda has earned wide recognition for his pioneering contributions in microbiology, ethnobotany, and translational science. His accolades include the Best Senior Scientist Award (Microbiologist Society of India, 2024–25), multiple postdoctoral fellowships under RUSA 2.0 (Utkal University, 2020), Horizon 2020 (KU Leuven, 2016 & 2018), Erasmus-Mundus EMINTE (Lund University, 2014), and the Fast Track Young Scientist Award (SERB, Govt. of India, 2012). He has also served as a Visiting Scholar at KU Leuven (2022), CICOPS Visiting Professor at the University of Pavia (2016–17), and won KU Leuven’s prestigious award for the Best Exploitation Plan in Research-Technology & Knowledge Transfer (2018–19).

Editorially, he contributes as Associate Editor for Heliyon (Pharmacology & Toxicology), Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology (Biofilms), and Frontiers in Antibiotics. His publication portfolio spans elite journals, including The Lancet (10 manuscripts), Lancet Infectious Diseases, Lancet Global Health, Nature Medicine, Journal of Ethnopharmacology (7), Frontiers (>22), BMC (5), ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, and more than 30 others.

He is the author of several edited volumes published by reputable publishers on natural products and infectious diseases.
