About
I am a Research Assistant Professor at NatPro, Centre for Natural Products Research, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. I am a gold medalist in masters in Chemistry with specialization in Organic Chemistry (2010), and completed my Ph.D. under DAAD Sandwich Program (India-Germany) in Natural Product Chemistry in 2017. Post Ph.D., I worked as an Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry, Doon University, India (2017-2018), and later worked as a National Post-Doctoral Fellow (NPDF) at National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research, India (2019-2020) on Exopolysaccharides from Antarctic and Himalayan microbes. Later I worked as research fellow at NatPro, Centre for Natural Products Research, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Trinity College Dublin in a natural product drug discovery project.
I am a Carbohydrate chemist with an expertise in isolation, purification, degradation, derivatization and characterization of polysaccharides using wet lab methods and further analysis using advanced chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques viz. HPLC, Capillary electrophoresis, HPAEC, IEC, GPC, GC-FID, FT-IR, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, GC-MS, ESI-MS, LC-MS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 2D NMR etc.
