Dr Rajesh Kumar did his masters and PhD in Zoology from Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.) and is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Biosciences, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) India. He has more than 10 years of experience in teaching and research. His thrust areas of research are Animal Physiology, Cancer Biology, Herbal Medicines, & Honey. Dr Kumar has successfully completed 02 Major Research Projects and 02 Startup Projects sponsored by Government agencies. He has successfully supervised 03 PhD, 01 MPhil, 43 MSc students for their research work and currently 05 PhD candidates are working under his supervision. Dr Kumar has been awarded Meritorious Fellowship by University Grants Commission during his PhD. He is life member of Indian Science Congress, National Bee Board, Applied Zoologists Research Association, Society for Science & Environmental Excellence and affiliate member of International Society of Zoological Sciences.
He has published about 180 Research Articles including 85 Book Chapters in indexed journals, 12 Research Papers in Full Length Proceedings, 20 Books, 04 Monographs, 125 Abstracts by participating in more than 80 national/international conferences. He has earned 12 awards for his excellent research till date. Dr Kumar has successfully organized about 20 seminars/conferences and delivered more than 50 invited talks/extension lectures in different institutions. He is also reviewer of several journals of national and international repute. For his achievements. Dr Kumar has been awarded as Fellow of Himalayan Science and Technology Communications.
