About
Mainak Mitra graduated with a PhD. in Mechanical Engineering from the Applied Nonlinear Dynamics of Multi-Scale Systems Lab at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His general research interests include dynamics and control applied to the fields of turbomachinery, automotive engineering and biomedical devices. His current research involves the analyses and reduced order modelling of nonlinear blisk dynamics due to friction damping and blade coatings. In the past he has worked on vehicle-structure interaction, structural health monitoring of bridges and design of control systems for medical devices.
