About

Dr. Abhishek Verma is a researcher and academic specializing in Aerospace Engineering, with expertise in gas turbine blade cooling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), heat transfer, and multiphase flow analysis. He completed his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, where his research focused on the numerical investigation of mist film cooling techniques for gas turbine applications.

His research interests include film cooling, conjugate heat transfer, turbulence modeling, high-speed aerothermodynamics, two-phase flow simulations, and thermal management systems for aerospace propulsion applications. Dr. Verma has extensive experience in advanced numerical simulations using ANSYS Fluent, ICEM-CFD, and other engineering tools for analyzing complex thermo-fluid systems.

Dr. Verma has contributed significantly to the field through several peer-reviewed journal publications and international conference presentations. His work on innovative cooling strategies for gas turbines and two-phase mist cooling mechanisms has been published in reputed journals, including the ASME Journal of Thermal Science and Engineering Applications. He was also awarded the Best Paper Award at the 10th World Congress on Momentum, Heat and Mass Transfer (MHMT’25), Barcelona, Spain.

In addition to research, Dr. Verma has teaching experience as an Assistant Professor, where he taught subjects such as Computational Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Rocket Propulsion, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and Power Plant Engineering. He has also worked as a CFD Engineer in the aerospace sector, contributing to multiphase simulations and thermal analysis of propulsion systems.

Dr. Verma’s academic and professional work reflects a strong commitment to advancing sustainable aerospace technologies, propulsion systems, and high-performance thermal management solutions. His interdisciplinary background in aerospace and mechanical engineering, combined with expertise in simulation-driven research, positions him as a promising contributor to the fields of aerospace propulsion, defense technologies, and advanced thermal-fluid sciences.
