About
Dr. Pradipta Panchadhyayee is a physicist and educator, recognized for his contributions to quantum optics, guided wave optics, tunneling in semiconductor heterostructures, and physics education research. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Physics at Prabhat Kumar College, Contai, he combines a strong research background with a passion for innovative science education and public outreach. Since joining academia in 2001, he has pursued research in the electronic and transport properties of semiconductor superlattices and quantum wells, with a focus on resonant tunneling and quasi-periodic structures. His work in quantum optics spans atom localization, light–matter interaction, and quantum coherence phenomena. Alongside his research, Dr. Panchadhyayee is a dedicated advocate of physics education reform, developing creative methodologies such as using smartphones in experimental physics to make learning more accessible and engaging.
