About
Dr. Soni did his Ph.D in Microbiology from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, with a specialization in BNF-microbial genomics. He has very good working experience with different ad hoc projects. He is the recipient of i) DST young
scientist award 2011 and selected for i) DS Kothari Post Doc Fellow Award 2011 from UGC,ii) Summer fellowship from INSA iii) Travel grant from INSA-CICS/DBT. Dr. Soni is expertise in microbial genetics/metagenomics and environmental microbiology. He has experience of handling various ad hoc and consultancy projects. He has experience to guide 28 M.Sc. Ag. and 03 Ph.D. students for their thesis research as major guide. He has been engaged in teaching since Aug. 2010 and has teaching experience as course teacher for 08 courses (UG, M.Sc. Ag. and Ph.D). He published 66 research papers and 60 book chapters. He has also edited 15 international books and authored one book. He participated in various trainings/workshops related to microbiology.
