About

I am a scientist with a background in Ecology and Natural Resources Management. I hold a PhD in Agricultural Sciences with distinctions (summa cum laude) from Bonn University, Germany. I strive through my research works to improve understanding of ecological processes shaping the functioning of agroecosystems to identify critical leverage aspects for their sustainable management under changing global environmental conditions. In this endeavor, I bridge ideas and theories from natural and applied sciences and combine them with integrated modelling approaches to advance scientific knowledge and propose novel and actionable options for the management of natural resources. My current research interests are centered around biodiversity and ecosystem functioning relationships in (semi-) natural agroecosystems, with a particular emphasis on functional traits and their application in the management of these ecosystems to increase their resilience vis-à-vis global environmental changes.”
