About
Arvind Kumar received his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College (MMMEC), Gorakhpur in 1999, the Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, Prayagraj in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, Prayagraj in 2013. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj, India.
He has more than 21 years of teaching experience, including over 18 years at MNNIT Allahabad. He has published more than 59 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences and has contributed to eleven book chapters. He has also served as a reviewer for several reputed journals and conferences.
His research interests encompass Embedded Systems, Digital Design, Wireless Ad-hoc Networks, and Wireless Sensor Networks, with specific focus on localization, routing, and optimization techniques, including Wireless Body Area Networks. His current research areas further include Sensor Networks and Body Area Networking, two- and three-dimensional localization, clustering and routing protocols, wireless communication systems, physical layer security, ambient backscatter communications, cooperative and relay communications, cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things (IoT), low-power networking, and performance analysis over generalized fading channels.
He has successfully supervised 5 Ph.D. scholars, more than 36 M.Tech dissertations, and over 55 B.Tech project groups.
