About
also led interlaboratory comparison studies, laboratory proficiency testing programmes, and activities related to laboratory quality assurance and accreditation.
My research contributions include the extraction and recovery of rare and strategic metals from critical mineral resources, development of methodologies for the preconcentration and separation of radionuclides and rare earth elements from complex matrices, and remediation of contaminated water bodies and industrial effluents using innovative treatment technologies.
In 2022, I joined CHRIST (Deemed to be University) as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry. I currently serve as the Research Administrator of the Centre for Research Projects – Science, where I coordinate and facilitate internal and external research funding initiatives, interdisciplinary collaborations, industry partnerships, and national and international research networking.
My present research interests focus on the extraction and recovery of lithium and rare earth elements from minerals, electronic waste, and spent battery materials, with emphasis on recycling, resource recovery, and circular economy approaches. I am also actively involved in research on the removal of toxic elements and pollutants from water bodies through sustainable remediation technologies.
