About
I hold the position of Senior Innovation Project Manager at F6S and, in recent years, I have served as a Senior International Consultant at Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação, actively engaging in both national and international projects within the realm of Science, Technology, and Innovation. My involvement encompasses various collaborative initiatives with national and international companies, universities, and research centres. I focus primarily on supporting project management and proposal development in the field of Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I).
My academic background includes a degree in Biological Sciences and a Master's degree in Agricultural Microbiology, specialising in Applied Fermentative Processes and Agro-industry, obtained from the Federal University of Lavras in Brazil. Furthermore, I hold a Ph.D. in Agricultural Microbiology, achieved through a collaborative effort between the Federal University of Lavras and the Centre of Biological Engineering at the University of Minho in Portugal. During my undergraduate studies, I had the privilege of undertaking projects in partnership with the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA).
Throughout my academic journey, I actively contributed to R&D&I projects within international institutions, with a particular focus on Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Metagenomics, and related fields. During this period, I published numerous papers in ISI-indexed journals and presented my research at various international conferences and advanced courses. Additionally, I possess experience in teaching Microbiology (both theory and practical aspects) for undergraduate courses in Agronomy, Biology, and Food Engineering. Moreover, I have been actively involved in the organisation of scientific events and have contributed to technology transfer initiatives through patent development and publication.
