Prof. Dr. Elijah Blessing Rajsingh, M.E, Ph.D
Prof. Dr. Elijah Blessing is the Vice Chancellor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (A category 1 University as declared by University Grants Commission Govt of India; accredited by NAAC with A++ Grade; globally renowned with THE world Ranking, QS Ranking). He is an inspiring academic leader whose transformative vision, pioneering spirit, and insightful leadership have shaped the university into a hub of excellence. With nearly three decades of dedicated service, he has held pivotal roles including Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Director (International Collaborations), and Director (School of Computer Science), contributing significantly to the academic, research, and entrepreneurial landscape of the university.
A distinguished scholar in computer science and engineering, Prof. Blessing’s research spans cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, wireless sensor networks, Data Anlaytics and medical image analysis, with his work published and cited internationally. His contributions not only advance technology but also have a tangible impact on society, reflecting his commitment to leveraging knowledge for meaningful change.
Renowned for his strategic foresight, he has strengthened global partnerships and fostered industry–academia collaborations. Under his leadership, Karunya has undertaken progressive curriculum reforms to enhance students’ skills, preparing them to be industry-ready, highly competent, and capable of addressing real-world technological challenges. He is also a prominent speaker globally at academic and industry summits, inspiring innovation, research excellence, and holistic education. Additionally, he has served as an expert member for NAAC and NBA, lending his expertise to elevate excellence in higher education accreditation. He has also received funding from Indian Council of Medical Research for his research project in Health systems research. He is a member of IEEE, CSI, ISTE and has served as International advisory board member for various International conferences and workshops.

Experience in Accreditation Process:
1. Has been identified as Expert member (Programme Evaluator) for the visiting teams of National Board of Accreditation (NBA) since 2012 and has been part of the NBA Expert member team for around 10 visits.
2. Has adequate experience in preparing Self assessment reports/ accreditation reports for NBA and NAAC for eligible UG courses for the school of CST and Karunya University.
Funded Research Project:
1. Principal Investigator for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded sponsored project, "Design and Development of IT Enabled Tool for Post-Crash Care on Road Traffic Injuries " for Rs. 18,31,800/- during 1 June 2018 to 30 May 2021.
2. Principal Investigator for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded sponsored project, "Effective Patient Friendly IT Enabled Tool for Selection of Desired Health Care Services" for Rs. 14,83,880/- during 1 Dec 2013 to 30 Nov 2016.
Consultancy:
1. Project Coordinator for a Consultancy project on Software development from M/s. Covenant IT Inc, Florida, US for Rs. 20,00,000/ - during June 2015 to Dec 2016.
