About

Dr.R.Nageswari, obtained her Ph.D in Agronomy from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. She has completed 25 years of service including research, teaching and extension in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and is currently working as Associate Professor (Agronomy) at Tamil Nadu Rice Research Institute, TNAU, Aduthurai, Thanjavur District. She has offered courses at the under graduate for B.Sc(Horti.), B.Sc.(Agri) and B.Sc(Hons (Agri.)) students and Diploma Agri students. He has published 10 books with ISBN, 47 research articles in International and National peer reviewed Journal and more than 25 book chapters in books with ISBN. She has about 17 awards and honours including the Best Post Graduate Agronomist Award(AC&RI, Madurai), R.K.Rangammal Award for the Best Student in Integrated Farming System Studies(TNAU, Coimbatore), PSG Ganga Naidu Medal for Sugarcane Research(TAUTA, Coimbatore), Mother Teresa Women Scientist Award(MTCA, Pudhukottai), Distinguished Extension Services Achiever Award(Prosper Foundation, Theni), Reviewer Excellence Award (ARCC Journals) Best OFR Scientists Award(ICAR-IIFSR, Modipuram) and the Best Young Woman Scientist Award(Just Agriculture). She is specialized in Rice, small scale Entrepreneurship agronomy, Sustainable Sugarcane Initiative, Integrated Nutrient Management and Integrated Farming System studies. She has actively involved in release of one sugarcane variety and twelve technologies in various crops including sugarcane. She is a member of of 15 reputed professional societies and organizations. She has received a FAO Digital Badge for the Successful Completion of eCourse on Farm mechanization as a small scale Entrepreneurship.
