About
Dr. Atul Dhakar is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University Institute of Technology, RGPV Shivpuri. He has over 13 years of teaching experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Guna. His research work focuses on fault diagnosis of reciprocating air compressor systems using signal processing and machine learning techniques, contributing to predictive maintenance and intelligent condition monitoring systems.
He holds a Master of Technology in Thermal System & Design from ShriRam College of Engineering & Management, Gwalior, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Bansal Group of College, Indore.
Dr. Dhakar has a strong academic background with expertise in core mechanical engineering concepts such as Engineering Graphics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Materials Science. He is skilled in designing course materials, delivering lectures, and mentoring students to foster academic success and professional development. His research interests extend to innovative solutions for mechanical system diagnostics (using signal processing and machine learning approach's) and renewable energy technologies, particularly solar water distillation using phase change materials (PCM) and MATLAB software.
He has published several papers in high-impact journals, including the Journal of Vibration Engineering & Technologies and Engineering Research Express, covering topics such as fault diagnosis in air compressor systems using machine learning classifiers. Dhakar has also contributed chapters to books on recent advances in mechanical engineering. His work has been recognized in the fields of signal processing, thermodynamics, and renewable energy applications.
In addition to his research, Dhakar has actively participated in various academic and professional development programs, including several online and offline certificate courses in fields like manufacturing processes, solar energy technology, and thermodynamics. He is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Ignited Minds Professional & Academic Research Consortium (IMPARC) and the International Association of Engineers.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dhakar has organized and coordinated numerous workshops, expert talks, and industrial visits to enhance student engagement with real-world applications of engineering principles. His dedication to both teaching and research, along with his contributions to the mechanical engineering community, positions him as a committed educator and researcher, continuously seeking to advance knowledge in his field.
