About

I have several years of experience of working in the area of cancer biology. Specifically, my research during these past years has remained focused on understanding the role of deregulated genes in pancreatic and prostate cancers, dissecting their regulatory pathways, and exploiting their clinical potential in diagnosis, prognosis and therapy. I am specifically interested in understanding how the tumor cells respond to various cues in their surroundings, and how such interactions relate to tumor progression, metastasis and chemoresistance. A major focus is on characterizing the molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways involved in aggressive and drug-resistant nature of tumor cells and examining if those can be targeted for therapeutic interventions.
