Dr. Sahoo is presently working as a Public Health Specialist at Health Technology Assessment in India (HTAIn) Regional Resource Hub, Regional Medical Research Centre, Bhubaneswar, Indian Council of Medical Research, Dept. of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. He did PhD in Public Health Sciences from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden during the year 2012. His doctoral thesis was on “antibiotic resistance and environmental factors”. He awarded scholarship for doctoral degree from the Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window Lot 15 during the year 2008 to 2012. He is a socio-behavioural health scientist. He has dual master degree – Applied Ecology from School of Business and Engineering, Halmstad University, Sweden and Zoology from Utkal University, India. He has diploma degree in Global Health from Swedish Research School for Global Health. His has working experience in sanitation and health, health system research, socio-behavioural health and equity in health care delivery, health system research, community engagement. He has expertise in mixed method research – qualitative and quantitative research methods.
