About

Pankaj Kumar obtained his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology, Muzaffarpur,India in 2002 and the M.Tech degree in Machine Design and Dynamics from I.I.T Madras in 2004. He received the “Prof B.V.A Rao Endowment Prize and Medal” from I.I.T.Madras for academic distinction in four disciplines and securing highest position in his M.Tech degree. He received his PhD degree in Mechanical engineering from I.I.T.Madras in 2017. He worked with the Structural Dynamics Division of Indian Space and Research organization (I.S.R.O) from May 2004 to August 2004. Subsequently joined Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited in the Gas Turbine Engineering Department of its Hyderabad Unit. His areas of research include Nonlinear random vibration, Stochastic calculus, gas turbine design, Rotordynamics, Vibration troubleshooting, condition monitoring, Energy harvesting, and Chaos. He has published around 45 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, keynotes and conference proceedings. He has also copyrighted more than dozen software's for various kind of rotor dynamics and structural vibration analysis.
