Dr. Sasikumar P is an Assistant Dean – Academic Research at VIT University, Vellore, India. He is actively involved in advancing interdisciplinary research, fostering research excellence, and promoting innovation through academic–industry collaborations. His research interests encompass Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Embedded Systems, Blockchain Technology, Cyber-Physical Systems, Intelligent Automation, Smart Agriculture, Healthcare Technologies, and Intelligent Transportation Systems.
Dr. Sasikumar has supervised and mentored research scholars across diverse domains and has published extensively in reputed international journals and conferences indexed in SCIE, Scopus, and other leading databases. His work focuses on developing intelligent, sustainable, and technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges through the integration of AI, edge computing, digital twins, sensor networks, and secure distributed systems.
In addition to his research contributions, he plays a significant role in research administration, policy implementation, faculty development, and promoting responsible research practices. He actively supports initiatives related to research integrity, publication ethics, quality research output, intellectual property generation, and international collaborations.
His current interests include trustworthy AI, digital transformation, smart infrastructure, precision agriculture, autonomous systems, and emerging technologies for sustainable development. Through his academic leadership and research, he is committed to strengthening innovation ecosystems and enhancing the global impact of scholarly research.
