Dr. Amit Datta, (PhD-Management, MUJ, M.A. in Tourism Management, and alumni of IHM-Kolkata) is a Professor and HoD of School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Manipal University Jaipur. He has worked in some luxurious and renowned hotels in India and abroad like Amarvilas-An Oberoi Resort Agra, Hyatt Regency Kolkata, Intercontinental Hotel Muscat, and Grand Hyatt Muscat. Prior to joining MUJ, he was associated with NSHM School of Hotel Management, Durgapur as an academician. He has worked in the industry for over 7 years and has been in hospitality education since 2007. He is a life member of professional bodies like ISTD, ITHC, ISHE, and ICCA. His research is concerned with HRM, OB, and employee attitudes of the tourism & hospitality industry.
