About
I am a dedicated Research Scholar at ICMR-National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR), working with the Parasite-Vector Biology group. My research focuses on targeting mosquito proteins critical for the survival of Plasmodium within vectors. I am specialized in screening drugs and antisera to evaluate their transmission-blocking potential in Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium berghei-infected mosquitoes, with a particular emphasis on assessing their impact on oocyst and sporozoite development. My core expertise lies in protein purification and biochemical characterization, employing advanced techniques such as Western blotting, ELISA, Co-Immunoprecipitation (Co-IP), Immunofluorescence Assay (IFA), and enzyme activity assays. Through my work, I aim to contribute to developing novel strategies for malaria transmission control.
