About
Myself,Dr. R. Vijayalakshmi is an accomplished academician and researcher in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, presently serving as Professor at school of Pharmacy, Godavari Global University & and Controller of Examinations for GIET School of Pharmacy(Autonomous Institution) earlier worked as Head of the department. With an extensive academic and research career spanning over twenty-five years, I have consistently contributed to excellence in pharmaceutical education, research, and academic administration.
She obtained her Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad and earned her M.Pharm. degree from Andhra University. My scholarly pursuits began with research in pharmaceutical analytical method development and validation, particularly employing sophisticated chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques for the precise qualitative and quantitative estimation of pharmaceutical compounds.
Over the years, my research interests have progressively advanced toward contemporary analytical technologies, with a particular emphasis on lab-on-chip and microfluidic-based systems. My current work focuses on the integration of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) with microfluidic platforms for selective biomarker detection and point-of-care diagnostic applications. My research endeavors are driven by the objective of developing portable, rapid, economical, and environmentally sustainable analytical systems with significant applications in pharmaceutical and clinical sciences.
I have guided 56 postgraduate dissertations and 15 undergraduate research projects and is presently supervising doctoral scholars in emerging areas of pharmaceutical research. I have published more than 65 research papers in reputed national and international journals, contributed book chapters, and secured several patents, including granted and published patents. Also served as a resource person on numerous academic and scientific forums, reflecting my dedication to research mentorship, scientific innovation, and academic leadership.
My professional contributions continue to strengthen the domains of pharmaceutical analysis, microfluidic diagnostics, and translational analytical research through a blend of scholarly excellence and institutional leadership.
