About
I, Dr. Sandhya Sharma a Postdoctoral Fellow at Banaras Hindu University, India. My research focuses on endocrinology, molecular reproductive biology, toxicology, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry. My research work centers on reproductive neuroendocrinology, endocrine regulation, and toxicant-induced reproductive dysfunction.
I have authored 11 Scopus-indexed publications, with an h-index of 4 and 72 citations. My research contributions include molecular and functional studies on Kisspeptin-GnRH signaling in Heteropneustes fossilis, including gene expression profiling, molecular cloning, and steroid regulation of reproductive pathways. I have also contributed to reproductive toxicology research, including studies on the protective effects of Curcumin against cadmium-induced toxicity. My current research interests include reproductive endocrinology, endocrine disruption, molecular toxicology, and role of gut microbiome in brain-gut-gonad to investigate fertility in mammals.
